SST, Inc. Receives 25th U.S. Patent for Gunfire Location, Alert and Analysis Technology

Issued October 11, 2011, United States Patent Number 8,036,065 relates to a ‘gunshot detection sensor with display.’ This proprietary technology is applicable to a system that employs wearable acoustic sensors with an integrated GPS receiver for detecting gunfire; a host processor; and a bi-directional communication network adapted to deliver information between the sensors and host server. Associated with each sensor is a display configured to receive data from the sensor allowing for view by the person wearing the sensor.
