David Rodgers Joins as Head of Products and Technology
Lydia Barrett to Lead Global Marketing and Communications Initiatives
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ShotSpotter Inc., the market leader and innovator in gunshot location and detection technology, today announced the appointment of two key company officers - David Rodgers as senior vice president of products and technology and Lydia Barrett as vice president of marketing. The senior executive appointments underscore the company's commitment to advancing public safety technologies and solutions, and bringing Next Generation 9-1-1 solutions to support public safety in communities worldwide.
Rodgers is responsible for the development, strategy and execution of ShotSpotter's PaaS and cloud computing product portfolio. A seasoned executive with a track record of successfully bringing to market large scale, high availability systems, Rodgers brings 38 years of experience to ShotSpotter. Rodgers most recently served as vice president of engineering and operations for Schooner Information Technology Inc., where he led platform development and information technology for Web 2.0 appliances, cloud computing, and enterprise data centers. Earlier in his career he successfully led technology and business development efforts for Agami Systems, IP Unity, BrightLink Networks and Compaq.
Barrett will focus on expanding ShotSpotter's industry and community leadership in creating safer and more secure communities, as well as accelerating the company's growth in the expanding SaaS and cloud computing solutions in the public safety market. A veteran of both start-up and large enterprise corporations such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, GMAC, and Deloitte, Barrett brings more than 24 years of strategic and tactical marketing and corporate leadership experience to ShotSpotter. Most recently, Barrett was director of marketing at Tiburon Inc., a leading public safety solution provider, where she was instrumental in revitalizing the company's position and brand as a leading provider of integrated computer aided dispatch, records management and mobile communications solutions.
