ShotSpotter Introduces New Products for Security and Law Enforcement Needs

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ShotSpotter, Inc., the world leader in gunshot detection and location systems, today announced that it will introduce two new product solutions, ShotSpotter GLS-Special Operations (GLS-SO) and ShotSpotter GLS-Moveable Array (GLS-MA), at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exhibition being held in Denver, October 3-7. Interactive demonstrations of ShotSpotter's new GLS solutions will be showcased at the company's booth -- #212.

ShotSpotter's GLS-SO and the ShotSpotter GLS-MA provide security and law enforcement customers solutions for short-term operations and for targeting shifting violent crime activity, respectively. The newest ShotSpotter GLS solutions are built upon the same field-proven wide-area acoustic surveillance technology that continues to be used successfully by law enforcement agencies to better react to and reduce gunfire and violent crime. In addition to real-time alerting of gunfire and explosive incidents, all incident information is permanently stored in a standard and open database that facilitates crime analysis and supports investigations and prosecutions with court-tested forensic evidence.

Additionally, the company unveiled the new name of its flagship product: ShotSpotter GLS-Stationary Array (GLS-SA). The name change was instituted to better reflect the scope of ShotSpotter's market-focused GLS solutions.

"First responders have experienced many great successes with their ShotSpotter systems," said Gregg Rowland, senior vice president of ShotSpotter. "Working closely with our customer base, we have learned that variants of our technology can become important solutions for other missions. We have listened and are pleased to provide them with new, effective solutions for ensuring public safety."

New ShotSpotter GLS solutions include:

-- ShotSpotter GLS-Special Operations (GLS-SO) - This product is designed
for event-driven, temporary deployments and enhances security at events
and dignitary visits. It can also be used for targeted enforcement and
other special operations security measures such as zero-tolerance and
sting operations. Customers can have their array set-up and operational
        within a matter of hours.
-- ShotSpotter GLS-Moveable Array (GLS-MA) - This product adds mobility to
the traditional ShotSpotter GLS product, giving law enforcement users
the ability to move the location of a portion or all of their coverage
area in order to respond to anticipated and actual shifts in crime
        activity.
