ShotSpotter GLS 6.2 -- The Next Generation in Wide-Area Acoustic Surveillance Technology
With the ShotSpotter GLS 6.2, this next generation product release provides enhanced features and increased performance that extends system usability to all functional groups within an agency and command center. Enhancements include:
-- A full redesign of the ShotSpotter GLS 6.2 console. Based on extensive customer feedback, this graphically-rich user improves system usability by busy dispatch and command center personnel. New features include: -- Clear and actionable alert status billboard screen that uses bright colors and an audible alarm that can be easily seen and heard from across the room, ensuring alerts are not missed. -- Detailed incident alerts that specify whether an incident occurred within or outside the customer's designated coverage area. This increases customer awareness of surrounding activity and threats. -- End-users can now view multiple separate geographic coverage areas on a single display console. -- ShotSpotter GLS 6.2 can send unmatched situational awareness information to personnel in dispatch and control centers as well as in field-based support vehicles. This includes providing clear, accurate and immediate text and audio detail regarding the nature and location of gunfire and other explosive events. Every incident detected contributes to a database of historical information that can be easily accessed to assist in a crime investigation as well as to identify trends, patterns, and hot spots of activity that can drive the efficient deployment of resources. -- Enhanced scalability allows ShotSpotter GLS 6.2 to cover many square miles, including covering several areas that are not geographically adjacent to one another. Expansion to include additional areas is also readily accommodated. -- It can easily interface with other safety technologies such as digital surveillance capabilities, to provide even more comprehensive and real-time surveillance and situational awareness. -- ShotSpotter GLS 6.2 offers enterprise-class resiliency and fault tolerance that ensures continued system operation during data network interruptions. -- ShotSpotter offers users comprehensive training led by law enforcement professionals to ensure all users have the most up-to- date and complete understanding of the system's full range of capabilities. This includes instructor-led and self-paced e-learning materials, gunfire audio training for new hires and ongoing refresher training for established users.
